Project Summary
About
Nkomor is a healthcare startup that operates an all-in-one healthcare platform, offering comprehensive healthcare solutions. To expand its services, Nkomor is launching MyNurse, a nurse telehealth service debuting in 2025. This new platform will connect patients with qualified nurses for in-person or virtual consultations, providing personalised care to enhance healthcare accessibility.
Challenge
Nurses need to offer accessible healthcare services to patients through virtual and in-person appointments. However, the current in-home visit-only model limits patient access, raises security concerns, and makes scaling challenging as the platform grows geographically and in terms of user numbers.
Scope
Developed a standalone platform by separating MyNurse from Nkomor’s original platform, designing a new dashboard and landing page.
Updated designs to incorporate scalable meeting methods (video, audio, and in-person at partner pharmacies) to support business growth and partnerships.
Enhanced the design system to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability.

Held 30+ meetings across design and tech teams over three months, reducing iteration cycle time by 25% and improving design alignment
Learning
Progress Through Iteration and Teamwork
Starting this project almost from scratch taught me the value of teamwork and iteration. Regular feedback and team discussions helped us test ideas, learn from what worked (and didn’t), and refine the design. While the platform continues to evolve, this experience highlighted the importance of iterative design and strong collaboration.
